Choose a supported document

Choose one or more DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPTX documents or PDFs with readable text, up to 50 MiB each. This Markdown tool does not support legacy DOC or PPT, or Hangul HWP / HWPX files.

Create and save Markdown

Select Create Markdown. The first run loads the required conversion files. Review the headings, paragraphs and tables, set a filename, then select Download Markdown. You can cancel loading and start again with another file.

Compare with the original

Visual layout, formulas, editing structure and images are not reproduced exactly. This tool does not recognize text in scanned PDFs. Check table cells, numbers and missing content against the original.

Batch conversion and downloads

Selecting multiple files opens a serial queue. Add up to 20 files, 50 MiB each and 200 MiB total input. Cancel or retry files individually, and download successful Markdown files individually or in a combined ZIP. Up to 128 MiB of results are retained; combined ZIP creation supports up to 64 MiB of results.
