Use it when

How to use

• Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP photos.
• Press 'Inspect and remove metadata'.
• Review the detected capture details and save the cleaned photo.
• Check the orientation and appearance of the saved photo.

Does removing metadata also erase addresses visible in the photo?

Even if an address is not visible in the photo, shooting locations and device information may be stored inside the file. This tool checks the shooting data of JPG, PNG, and WebP files and creates a copy with the information cleaned up. HEIC and HEIF are not currently supported.

Faces, names, and addresses directly captured in the photo are not obscured by this process. Handle such content with image editing or personal info redaction. After saving the new photo, check not only the shooting data but also the orientation, color, and quality, and avoid confusing the copy with the original when sharing.

Examples and Selection Help

You can inspect and remove hidden metadata such as GPS coordinates and device-owner information. Names, addresses, or numbers visibly shown in the picture are not hidden metadata and require separate image editing.
